LOOK: Comelec begins simulation of 2018 Barangay, SK polls
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday kicked off the simulation of the 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections at the Rosauro Almario Elementary School in Tondo, Manila.
The Comelec scheduled the simulated voting from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at two precincts. At least 100 voters, including youth and senior citizen voters, were set to participate in the mock polls.
Voters aged 15 to 17 were only be given SK ballots, while those aged 18 to 30 were given two ballots—one for SK and the other for Barangay—since they were eligible to vote for both polls. Voters aged 31 and above were only given Barangay ballots.
After the voting simulation, the Comelec will start the counting and canvassing of votes to be followed by the proclamation of winning candidates, which are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
