Police arrested three men, including a Japanese national, for the kidnapping of a tourist last month.

Operatives of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) rescued on April 5 victim Yuji Nakajima, 32, of Tokyo, at a house in Plaridel town, Bulacan province.

His alleged kidnappers — brothers Roberto and Reggie Reyes and Miyashita Takashi, a Japanese national — were arrested in separate operations in Pasig City and Parañaque City.

At a press conference on Tuesday, PNP-AKG chief Senior Supt. Glenn Dumlao said Nakajima had been kidnapped at the behest of Japanese national Yusuke Obara, Nakajima’s business partner, who was now being hunted in Japan.
