Pimentel to President Duterte on his 73rd birthday: ‘Keep cool and healthy’

Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III advised President Rodrigo Duterte to “keep cool and healthy” as he celebrated his 73rd birthday on Wednesday.

“Happy birthday Mr. President. Keep cool and keep healthy. We need you to guide our nation for your full term,” Pimentel said in a statement.

Sen. Gregorio Honasan II, meanwhile, said he was praying for the President’s wisdom, courage and political will to make difficult decisions that would benefit Filipinos.

“As President Rodrigo Duterte turns 73 today, we pray for continuing wisdom, vision, courage and political will; so he alone with God’s help, may have the capacity to make difficult decisions, that will benefit the greatest number of Filipinos, for the greater good, for the longest time, in our blessed country for the sake of our children,” he said in a separate statement.

Duterte earlier said he would “quietly” celebrate his birthday in Davao City with his family.
