President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the arrest of the operator of the Dimple Star Bus Transport in Occidental Mindoro during his visit to the victims of the accident that involved one of the units of the transport firm.
Duterte also visited the crash site in Sablayan town.
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go announced Duterte’s decision, adding that the President has also ordered a crackdown on all colorum vehicles.
“Pina[hu]huli ni PRRD operator and pinahuli niya ang lahat ng colorum (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte ordered the arrest of the operator and all the colorum),” Go said.

The Dimple Star bus was headed for Manila when it clipped the side of the bridge and crashed into a 15-meter-deep ravine in Sablayan town.
The accident claimed the lives of 19 people and injured 21 others. /jpv
