DPWH: Road reblocking, repairs set in QC, Taguig

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) warned motorists of a possible slowdown of traffic flow in some major roads in Quezon City and Taguig City as reblocking and repair works were scheduled to resume on Friday night.

In an advisory, the DPWH said reblocking activities and road repairs in Quezon City and Taguig would resume at 11:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

According to the DPWH, the following road lanes would be repaired and fully passable once the activities end on Monday morning.

Reblocking and repair works to be undertaken in Quezon City include the northbound direction of:

FEATURED STORIES

-Quirino Highway from Pagkabuhay Road to Kingspoint, inner lane
-Congressional Avenue from San Beda Road to Visayas Avenue, 1st lane
-EDSA fronting Shell Gas Station to Oliveros Street, 4th lane
-A. Bonifacio Avenue, from Del Monte Street going to Mauban Street, outerlane.

Also included is the southbound direction of:
-A. Bonifacio Avenue crossing Sgt. Rivera, inner lane
-Visayas Avenue, in front of Presidential Communications Operations Office, outerlane

The southbound lane of C5 Road in Taguig City would also undergo road repair works.

Motorists were advised to use possible alternate routes due to traffic slowdown in the affected areas, the DPWH said. /jpv
