The Supreme Court has accepted the resignation of the head of its Management Information System Office (Miso) who testified against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno during impeachment hearings at the House of Representatives.
A court insider said on Tuesday that the court en bac had accepted the resignation of MISO acting chief Carlos Garay, who submitted his resignation letter effective Feb. 28.
In his testimony before the House Committee on Justice, Garay said he did not approve the hiring by the Court of information technology expert Helen Macasaet.
According to Garay, Macasaet’s service was not needed in the implementation of the court’s multibillion-peso Enterprise Information Systems Plan (EISP).
