Lozano loses bid to void Sereno appointment

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed outright the petition asking that it nullify the appointment of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

During the en banc (full court) session, the high court dismissed for lack of merit the petition filed by Atty. Oliver Lozano, a known Marcos loyalist.

Lozano said the high court should step up and nullify Sereno’s appointment “in the paramount interest of public welfare.”
