Go issued the statement after Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said on Thursday that he would persuade the President’s trusted aide to join the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) senatorial slate.

“Inuulit ko po, hindi po ako interesado tumakbo sa Senado sa 2019. Magsisilbi po ako kay Mayor Duterte hanggang kamatayan, kung hindi man ako mauna,” he said in a statement sent to the media.

Go, however, said there was one thing which could change his mind.
