Top drug syndicate leaders nabbed in Tondo

Authorities have arrested a leader of a drug syndicate as well as two of his cohorts and seized P750,000 worth of suspected shabu after a raid in Tondo, Manila on Friday.

The syndicate leader was identified as Henry Dimagiliw, 43, head of the Velasquez Drug Group Leader. Dimagiliw was in President Rodrigo Duterte’s “narco-list.”

Dimagiliw also topped the list of drug personalities of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office-National Capital Region and Top 2 of PDEA Manila.

Two other collared suspects were identified as Allan Dimagmaliw, male, 42, and Hydie Dimagmaliw, female, 39, both target-listed drug personalities.

The drug personalities were arrested in a joint operation of the PDEA and the Manila Police District (MPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) on 1685 Velasquez Street, Barangay 81, Tondo, Manila, according to a spot report.

PDEA and MPD-DEU operatives seized 17 medium-sized transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 150 grams worth P750,000.

They also confiscated a Taurus Millenium caliber 9-mm pistol with two magazines and 68 live ammunition; four cellular phones; a digital weighing scale; and P14,340 in different denominations.

A bronze brown Mitsubishi Adventure and a Black Mio Soul were also seized by authorities.

Charges for possession of dangerous drugs in Section 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were being readied for filing against the suspects, the spot report disclosed.
