Miaa announces canceled flights due to ‘Basyang’

Several Manila flights to and from Legazpi and Naga were canceled on Wednesday due to bad weather brought about by Tropical Depression “Basyang,” airport authorities announced.

The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said that as of 12 noon, the following flights have been canceled:

Basyang was last spotted 255 kilometers south of Cuyo, Palawan and is expected to make landfall over the said province on Wednesday night, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration earlier said in its weather bulletin.

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific and CebGo flights to and from Dipolog City, were also canceled on Wednesday after one of its flights suffered a “technical difficulty.” /jpv
