Makati solon leaves UNA for PDP-Laban

Makati Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo minced no words on Tuesday after Rep. Manuel Monsour del Rosario III jumped ship and joined President Duterte’s PDP-Laban party.

“Transferring to another political party will not make up for his failure to serve the people,” Lagdameo said of the first district solon in a statement. Both ran under former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s UNA party in the 2016 elections.

But in a message sent to his friends, Del Rosario said he left UNA after Mayor Abby Binay told him that he would no longer be on the UNA ticket in the 2019 elections.
