Woman ‘drug user’ shot dead in Cavite home
SAN PEDRO CITY – A woman, whom police tagged as an illegal drug user, was shot dead by two men, who barged into her home in Naic town in Cavite province early morning on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Jackilou Robles, a resident of Barangay (village) Ibayo.
Naic police chief Supt. Janet Arinabo, in a phone interview, said the shooting happened at 3:30 a.m. and was witnessed by the victim’s two young sons.
Arinabo said, based on witnesses’ accounts, two men barged through a makeshift gate and walked right into the house before they shot Robles several times. The suspects fled but also with them was Robles’ live-in partner.
The police did not immediately name the live-in partner but said he was being considered a person of interest.
“It seemed he also left hurriedly (after the shooting) that he even left his slippers behind,” Arinabo said.
