Authorities have seized about P1 million worth of shabu and arrested two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspects as Bawe Sarip, 27, whom he described as a “known drug peddler,” and Reginaldo Cadag, 33, an alleged cohort.

Eleazar said Sarip and Cadag were arrested about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, during an operation by the Novaliches Police Station under Supt. Carlito Grijaldo in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

“An undercover operative posed as buyer and bought P20,000.00 worth of shabu from the suspects. At the given pre-arranged signal, other operatives positioned near the area arrested the suspects,” Eleazar said in a statement on Thursday.
