As presidential granddaughter Isabelle Duterte’s 18th birthday nears, a save-the-date video for her debut has been released.
The video was shot in New South Wales, Australia, and features the state’s stunning sights including the Kiama Blowhole, the Cronulla sand dunes and Coolangatta Estate.
The debutante, whose birthday is on Jan. 26, sparkles in multiple floral gowns across the coast’s various landscapes.
Photos were also taken in Sydney sites such as the iconic Opera House and pedestrian mall Martin Place.
Photographers involved in the shoot hail from Davao but are now based in Sydney, according to a blog post by videographer Shen Sabater. She shared that the shoot took two days and that Duterte was with her family for a vacation.
Garimon Roferos designed the Swarovski-studded couture gowns in the video. The Dubai-based designer was also behind her red gown used in her pre-debut shoot at Malacañang Palace.
Photographer Lito Sy stated on social media that the Garimon Roferos gowns used in the Malacañang pre-debut photo shoot were “sponsored” because Duterte’s mother, Lovelie Sangkola Sumera, is a friend of the designer.
It has yet to be determined if the gowns used in the video shoot were received in a similar manner. Sabater states in her blog post, “No taxes of any people from any country were spent in the production of this pre-debut shoot.” /ra
