Overcast skies with scattered rain are expected over Batanes, Cagayan, Apayao and Ilocos Norte due to the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said on Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) explained that the northeast monsoon or hanging amihan is affecting extreme Northern Luzon.
Pagasa said the rest of Cagayan Valley, as well as the regions of Cordillera and Ilocos would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao would also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /kga
