MMDA lifts number coding for provincial buses on Dec. 22, 26
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the number coding for provincial buses only on December 22 and December 26.
In a traffic advisory on Thursday, the MMDA said the move was intended to supply additional buses needed to transport passengers going to provinces during the holiday season.
Number coding, also known as the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), was also intended to reduce traffic congestion during peak hours in the metro, the agency added. /je
