P.5M worth of shabu seized in Zamboanga City buy bust
ZAMBOANGA CITY—Anti-narcotic agents seized half a million pesos worth of suspected crystal meth, popularly known as shabu, in a buy-bust operation a few meters away from the city hall here on Wednesday.
Lyndon P. Aspacio, regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, said PDEA agents arrested a drug suspect, Alman Aju y Emdalis also known as “Alden,” 26, found to have about 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P500,000 in his hands, during a during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday afternoon on NS Valderrosa Street here.
Aspacio said Emdalis is a resident of Pag-asinan village in Bongao town in Tawi-Tawi.
He said charges of violation of Section 5 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being prepared against the suspect. Julie Alipala, Inquirer Mindanao
