An intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) would bring overcast skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, the weather bureau said in its forecast on Monday.

Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, and Quezon would experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4:00 a.m. bulletin.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said Metro Manila, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan”.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers would also be experienced by the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms, the state weather agency said. /kga
