Poe wants Trangia’s driver summoned

/ 01:05 PM October 18, 2017

Senator Grace Poe asked a Senate panel on Wednesday to summon Ralph Trangia’s driver after his father contradicted John Paul Solano’s earlier statement.

Trangia and Solano, members of the Aegis Juris fraternity, are primary suspects in the killing of Horacio “Atio” Castillo III last September 17.

Solano earlier claimed he was with driver Romeo Laboga and another fraternity member Alvin Balag when they brought Castillo to the Chinese General Hospital (CGH).

But during the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs hearing, Ralph’s father, Antonio, contradicted this by saying he was with his driver that time.

“Yung driver ko po, yung time na allegedly nasasangkot sasakyan namin, kasama ko po,” Antonio told Poe when the senator asked about Laboga’s whereabouts.

“Siguro Mr. chair to be able to verify this new information, apparently the driver, who Mr. Solano testified was one of those he spoke with, at Mr. Antonio was saying was apparently with him at that time, we need to have the driver here,” Poe said.

Both Ralph and Antonio refused to confirm that they own the red Mitsubishi Strada used to bring Castillo to the hospital.

This was discovered through the CGH’s closed-circuit television camera footage obtained by the Manila Police District, Chief Supt. Joel Coronel said. /je
