/ 05:00 AM August 26, 2017

The Muntinlupa police killed a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation around 1:30 a.m. on  Friday.

According to Senior Supt. Dante Novicio, the city police chief, undercover agents arranged a transaction with Oliver Guevarra after he had a “shabu” session with their asset.

Meeting the buyers just outside his house on Montillano Street, Barangay Alabang, Guevarra drew a .38-caliber revolver upon realizing he was dealing with police officers, Novicio said.

“Sensing that their lives are in imminent danger,” the plainclothesmen shot the suspect, added Senior Insp. Elvin Tio, the antidrug unit chief.

Crime scene investigators said they recovered the gun and five sachets of shabu from Guevarra, who allegedly peddled drugs also in nearby Cupang and Bayanan. —DEXTER CABALZA
