Parojinog siblings, 11 others test negative for drugs
The Parojinog siblings – Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog Echaves and Reynaldo Jr. – tested negative for drugs along with 11 other suspects, the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory said on Tuesday.
“Screening test conducted on the urine specimens of the arrested living persons have negative result for methamphetamine and THC- metabolites, both dangerous drugs,” Superintendent Ramos Bergonia, of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory, said in a press briefing.
The 11 others who were arrested with them and who also tested negative for drugs from the urine samples collected last July 31 were Lucky Bendong, Cristthofel Margaha, Juan Segismundo, Regie Robles, Federino Manon-og, Lolito Jamago, Marcilito Bitonio, Lolito Jamago, Nicolas Alburo, Jonard Arciaga, and Manuel Paran.
The siblings were arrested in police operations last July 30 which led to the killing of their father, Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, their mother Susan, and 13 others.
The two were indicted for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms during the raids. CBB
