BATO, Leyte—The alleged number one drug personality in this municipality was killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics agents on Saturday morning.

Crispin Adaron, 39, reportedly put up a fight during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Daanglungsod here, about 11:50 a.m.

Two alleged cohorts of Adaron were arrested during the operation conducted by elements from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Eastern Visayas as well as the drug enforcement units of the Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas, provincial and municipal police offices.

They were Edison Pide Tablo, 38; Jeffrey Manuerca Alboro, 34.

Take from the body of Adaron were four sachets of shabu, P500 in marked money, and a .38 caliber revolver. JE
