Cops nab 2 Pangasinan blast fishers

DAGUPAN CITY—Police on Tuesday arrested two fishermen for blast fishing in San Fabian town in Pangasinan province.

Reynaldo Datanghel, 51, and Boyet Salcedo, 46, were nabbed at their houses in Barangay (village) Nibaliw Narvarte in two separate raids conducted at 4:30 a.m. and 5:40 a.m.

PO3 Florante Biasora, San Fabian police investigator, said the raid was carried out following reports from concerned citizens that Datanghel and Salcedo were using dynamite sticks when fishing at the Lingayen Gulf.

Seized from each of them were two pieces of improvised dynamite sticks and blasting caps.
