‘Missing Persons Center’ to be set up for Marawi evacuees

An interagency relief cluster in Marawi City will establish several “Missing Persons Center” in various evacuation areas to help displaced families and other war victims search for their loved ones.

The Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) cluster will set up seven “Missing Persons Centers” in different evacuation sites in Iligan City and surrounding areas where most Marawi victims sought refuge.

“In order for the evacuees who are still searching for their loved ones to file the necessary data with the SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives) to guide them for the search of missing loved ones,” Marawi Crisis Management Committee Head Zia Alonto Adiong said in a press briefing in Marawi City on Wednesday.

The MDM cluster is comprised of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, SOCO and the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
