PCA exec shot dead in Quezon
LUCENA CITY, Philippines—Motorcycle riding killers strike again.
The provincial head of the Philippine Coconut Authority in Batangas was gunned down in an ambush by motorcycle-riding assailants early morning Tuesday along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Isabang here, said Superintendent Ramon Balauag, Lucena police chief.
Necitas Pujanes, a resident of this city, was on his way to his office in Batangas driving a government-issued pickup at around 8 a.m. when the assailants fired at him, causing his vehicle to crash on the roadside.
Pujanes died instantly from two to three bullet wounds, Balauag said.
He said the gunmen fled toward Sariaya town.
