LUCENA CITY, Philippines—Motorcycle riding killers strike again.

The provincial head of the Philippine Coconut Authority in Batangas was gunned down in an ambush by motorcycle-riding assailants early morning Tuesday along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Isabang here, said Superintendent Ramon Balauag, Lucena police chief.

Necitas Pujanes, a resident of this city, was on his way to his office in Batangas driving a government-issued pickup at around 8 a.m. when the assailants fired at him, causing his vehicle to crash on the roadside.
