Pineda collars expert open crown

KIMBOY Pineda gave the favored John Flores a sound beating in the 6th leg of the 2011 MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed Mayor Celestino Martinez Motocross Cup last Sunday in barangay Taytayan, Bogo City, northern Cebu.

Pineda dominated the expert open title by outsmarting Flores, the expert winner during the fourth leg of the series.

Pineda continued his dominance over Flores, whom he defeated again in pro-open race.

Flores struggled in the race as he just managed a second place in the underbone category won by Mark Lee Frasco.

Also emerging big winners were Ray Quirol and Jun Enriquez.

Quirol won the local enduro by beating Dong-dong Bantiquin and Rap Marquez, who settled for second and third places, respectively.

Quirol was also crowned champion in the novice open enduro, where he defeated runner-up finishers Rap-rap Marquez and JC Obligado.

Enriquez, on the other hand, ruled the executive B competition at the expense of Gerry Sicad and Rosel Gungob.

Enriquez followed up that win with another championship run in the executive A, where he outran Sicad and Seigfred Ornopia.

Sicad atoned himself from his losses in the executive A and B division by ruling the executive C.
