Did You Know: Fire Prevention Month

March is declared as Fire Prevention Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 115-A signed in 1966 by then President Ferdinand Marcos.  The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is the government agency tasked to prevent and suppress  destructive fires, investigate their causes and enforce the Fire Code and  related laws. The BFP national headquarters  is located in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
