Rains to prevail over parts of PH

Rains will be experienced in different parts of the country on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau.

In its 24-hour weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Central Luzon, while the northeast monsoon is affecting the Northern Luzon.

Pagasa said skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over the provinces of Aurora and Quezon, while skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected over the regions of Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao.

Cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera  and the rest of Central Luzon, it added.

Metro Manila and Ilocos region will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country, Pagasa said.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the East to Northeast will prevail over Luzon and over the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Northeast with slight to moderate seas,” it added. RAM/rga
