Palace happy with gov’t agencies’ ‘Undas’ performance, says aide
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang is satisfied with the way government agencies performed during the long weekend that concluded with the observance of All Saint’s Day on Tuesday.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said on Wednesday that government agencies were able to immediately attend to the incidents that happened during the long weekend, which the Philippine National Police had assessed as “generally peaceful.”
“We commend the efforts of the PNP, Department of Transportation and Communications, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Public Works and Highways, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard and the Metro Manila Development Authority and local government units in ensuring the safety of our citizens nationwide and minimizing incidents that would have marred the solemn observance of the holiday,” Valte said in a statement.
