Meralco rates to go down in January

/ 02:33 PM January 12, 2017

Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) advised consumers on Thursday that its electricity rates will go down this month by P0.27 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

The decrease is mainly due to lower generation charge. Meralco recorded that such is the lowest since October 2004 and noted that there are still no adjustments on Meralco’s distribution charge.

Meralco, in their official Twitter account, said the adjustment will result in a reduction of P54 in January 2017 electricity bill of those who consume 200 kWh per month, P81 for 300 kWh per month, P108 for 400 kWh per month and P135 for kWh per month. RAM/rga
