3 ‘drug, robbery suspects’ gunned down in Laguna

SAN PEDRO CITY – Three men tagged by the police as suspected drug users and robbers were killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province past midnight on Tuesday.

The victims, Alvin Laudit, Fernando Ralasa, and Edward Sabularse, their ages ranging from 25 to 30 years old, were standing in front of a snack house in Barangay (village) Aplaya when gunmen fired shots at them around 12:30 a.m., city police chief Supt. Giovannie Martinez said. The victims died on the spot.

Martinez said witnesses initially saw two gunmen on a motorcycle but police believed two more acted as “backup.”

He said the victims were known in the community as drug users and robbers, although they had never been formally charged for lack of evidence.

Follow up police operation continues, Martinez said. CDG/rga
