2 grade school kids die in Pangasinan road accidents

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Two grade school children died in two separate road accidents in Pangasinan province on Sunday (Dec. 11), police said.

In Bayambang town, Grade 4 pupil Almakhi Datuin, 10, was riding her bicycle when she was struck by a speeding minibus at about 9 a.m. in Barangay (village) Nalsian Sur. She died while being taken to the Bayambang District Hospital in the town.

In Pozorrubio town, Grade 12 pupil Romy Bartolome was crossing the Manila North Road in Barangay Rosario when he was hit by a van at the south-bound lane of the highway at 12:50 p.m.

He was taken to the Pozorrubi Community Hospital but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
