LOOK: House ethics complaint vs De Lima

/ 03:45 PM December 12, 2016

The House of Representatives on Monday filed an ethics complaint against Sen. Leila de Lima before the Senate committee on ethics for violation of Article 150 of the Revised Penal Code or disobedience to summons.

The complaint was in relation to De Lima’s advice to her former driver and lover Ronnie Dayan to skip the congressional inquiry into drug proliferation at the New Bilibid Prison conducted by the House committee on justice.

The ethics complaint is the third filed against De Lima. It was filed by House leaders Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas and House justice committee chair Reynaldo Umali.

De Lima is currently in the United States to receive an award. RAM/rga
