A low pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine area of responsibility and the northeast monsoon will bring rain to parts of Luzon on Monday.

The LPA was spotted 125 kilometers north of Virac, Catanduanes, and is not likely to become a tropical cyclone, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.   The northeast monsoon, meanwhile, continues to affect Northern Luzon.   Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, will be experienced over Camarines and Quezon provinces, Pagasa said.   The rest of the Bicol region and Samar provinces will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.    Cloudy skies with light rain are expected over the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera.   Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. CBB
