Four Cabinet members, including Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo, got the nod of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday.

Aside from Teo, the CA also confirmed the appointments of National Economic and Development Authority(Neda) Secretary Ernesto Pernia, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Rodolfo Salalima, and Department of Science and Technology (DoST) Secretary Florentino de la Peña.

No member of the Commission objected when separate motions for the confirmation of the three officials were made on the floor.

Teo’s and Pernia’s confirmations were endorsed by the CA’s committee on tourism and economic development, while Salalima’s and de la Peña’s were recommended by the CA’s committees on transportation and communications, and science and technology, respectively. IDL
