Man on phone shot dead in Kalinga

BAGUIO CITY—A man busy with a telephone call was shot dead on Wednesday night (Nov. 30) in Tabuk City, Kalinga province.

Roberto Occidental, 49, a resident of Dagupan West village, was using his mobile telephone outside his home when a gunman fired at him at 9:45 p.m., police said.

Occidental fled into his house but the gunman broke in and shot him multiple times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
