Village councilor, 4 others nabbed in Quezon drug bust
LUCENA CITY,Quezon – Police arrested a barangay kagawad (village councilor) and four others in a drug buy-bust in Candelaria town in Quezon province early Wednesday.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police director, said lawmen armed with three search warrants conducted simultaneous raids in Barangay Mangilag Sur around 4:20 a.m. where they arrested village councilor Alberto Dolor and his cousin Leonardo Dolor, Sheena Arguelles, Mike Aguilar and Jason Rivera, all suspected drug pushers in the village.
Police tagged the suspects as members of the “Sarip drug group” operating in the central part of the province.
Armamento said Ricardo Arguelles, one of the target drug personalities, was not around during the raid at his residence.
The authorities seized nine small plastic bags of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P11,000 during the raid. SFM
