Dayan admits delivering Kerwin’s money to De Lima

Ronnie Dayan, the driver and lover of Senator Leila De Lima, on Tuesday admitted delivering drug money to De Lima from alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.
During the turn-over by the police to the House of Representatives after he was arrested, Dayan denied receiving drug money from alleged drug lords at the Bilibid drug trade.
But he said he delivered drug money for De Lima from the young Espinosa, said to be the biggest drug lord in Eastern Visayas.
“Wala akong tinatanggap na drug money sa mga drug lord. Kay Kerwin meron. Meron akong natatanggap para kay senadora,” Dayan said.
(We didn’t receive drug money from drug lords. From Kerwin [Espinosa], we did. I received [money] for the lady senator.)
Asked if Espinosa knew the drug kickbacks are for De Lima, Dayan said: “Natural sigurado alam niya dahil syempre titingnan niya yun.”
(Of course, for sure, he knows because he would look into it).
When told De Lima still has concern for him when the senator appealed that he be treated nicely, Dayan blushed and laughed saying: “Pakatatag siya (Be strong).”

Dayan also admitted living-in with the former justice secretary.

He also denied taking drugs.
Kerwin is the son of Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr., who was slain by police even while in detention at the Baybay subprovincial jail. TVJ
