The administration got a “very good” net satisfaction rating in President Rodrigo Duterte’s first three months in office, according to the latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey, conducted from Sept. 24 to 27 and first published in BusinessWorld, showed that the Duterte administration got a +66 net satisfaction rating, with 75 percent of respondents saying they were satisfied with the government’s performance. Only eight percent were dissatisfied, while 17 percent were undecided.

SWS said the Duterte administration’s satisfaction rating bested the scores recorded by its post-Edsa revolt predecessors, except that of the administration of Benigno Aquino III which also got a similar “very good” rating.

The SWS survey noted that the administration was rated “excellent” in one out 17 performance subjects—the campaign against illegal drugs. The crackdown on narcotics bagged a +78 net rating, with 85 percent of respondents satisfied, seven percent dissatisfied, and seven percent undecided.

The government also received a “very good” +63 rating in “promoting human rights,” despite a barrage of criticisms from foreign governments and international bodies on alleged human rights abuses in the war on drugs.

The Duterte administration also got “very good” scores in helping the poor (+63), “promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)” (+62), “fighting crime” (+58), “eradicating graft and corruption” (+57), “fighting terrorism” (+55), “defending the country’s territorial rights” (+55) and “distributing lands to deserving tillers under land reform” (+53).
