Grace Bostolits topples Airen in Saturday Club basketball
GRACE Bostolits crushed Airen, 94-83, Wednesday night for its first win in two games in the Saturday Club basketball tournament hosted by the Quiot Basketball Association (QBA).
Grace Bostolits leaned on its solid, 25-13 first quarter run to repulse Airen’s repeated rallies in the succeeding quarters. Toly Petiluna exploded for 15 points all from beyond the arc in that crucial stretch. He finished with 18 points for the night.
Airen outscored Grace Bostolits in the second (19-15) and third periods (20-15) where it got closest to the latter, 52-55. But Grace Bostolits took the fourth quarter, 39-31 to seal the 11-point demolition.
Michael Malalay and Jeffrey Francisco backed Petiluna with 14 and 12 markers, respectively while Raymund Yncierto and Danny dela Peña paced Airen with 18 and 15 markers.
