CEBU CITY—A teenager was killed after he was shot by still unidentified assailants while walking along Carloc Street, Corner Spolarium, Barangay (village) Duljo-Fatima in Cebu City around 1 a.m. on Friday.

Jerry Boy Carten, 18, was able to run after he was shot in the neck and in the chest by  the gunmen on board a single motorcycle before he died, according to a report from the  homicide division of the Cebu City Police Office.

Witnesses could not give a facial description of the perpetrators because the two were wearing full-faced helmets.

Police investigators said they were looking into the possibility that Carten may be involved in a love triangle. But the victim’s father said his son may be involved in illegal drugs. RAM/rga
