Shootings leave 4 men dead in Manila

FOUR men were killed in Manila within hours of each other, three of them in a drug bust, according to the police.

At 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, three men were gunned down after they allegedly shot it out with the police at the corner of Antipolo and Leonor Rivera Streets.

Homicide investigators initially identified them as JR Pamelar, Allan Salon and an alias “Dodong.”

Pamelar had been a target of Quiapo policemen who said he was a drug pusher. Recovered from them were an undetermined amount of cash, sachets of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and three guns, a .45-cal., .38-cal. and .357-cal magnum.

Meanwhile, motorcycle riders shot and killed 28-year-old Shi Hua Tian, a Chinese man, in Binondo at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, while he was in his van with his girlfriend who was unharmed. The motive for the killing has yet to be determined.
