PNP, PDEA inspect resort of lawmaker in Duterte drug matrix

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — The police on Wednesday inspected the Bolinao town resort of Pangasinan Rep. Jesus Celeste, one of the officials implicated in President Duterte’s drug matrix.

The police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) met with Celeste at the El Pescador resort.

Supt. Ferdinand de Asis, Pangasinan police community relations office, said Celeste had requested the inspection and investigation.

The police brought along a drug-sniffing dog to the resort, which was built on reclaimed sea space.
