Ex-seaman gunned down in Cauayan City
CAUAYAN CITY, Philippines—A 31-year-old former seafarer was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen on Wednesday.
Freddie Gabato, who now worked as a farm operator, was attacked at 9 a.m. at the intersection of the Golden Shower Avenue and the national highway in Tagaran village here, said Supt. Engelbert Soriano, Cauayan City police chief.
Soriano said he was not on any drug watch list in the area. Police have not established any motive for the attack. RAM/rga
