Grade 3 teacher, son nabbed for selling drugs in Antique
ILOILO CITY — Police on Wednesday arrested a 52-year-old Grade 3 teacher in Culasi town in Antique for allegedly selling illegal drugs.
Members of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group recovered four sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride from Jacquiline Pierce and her 21-year-old son Theodore Charles Eloriaga.
Police arrested the two alleged drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Centro Poblacion in Culasi about 8 a.m., according to a report of the Antique Provincial Police Office.
Pierce, known as “Ma’am Jackie,” was number 3 on the municipal watch list of drug pushers, according to the report.
She has been teaching at the Barangay Magsaysay Elementary School.
SPO3 Andres Caduada, investigator of the Culasi police station, said Pierce was among the suspected users and pushers who earlier surrendered as part of the Operation Tokhang (Toktok-Hangyo), the nationwide campaign of the Philippine National Police to convince drug pushing suspects to surrender and seek voluntary rehabilitation.
