Monsoon rains to persist in Luzon–Pagasa
The southwest monsoon will continue to bring rains in Luzon, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the southwest monsoon was being enhanced by a low pressure area within the Philippine boundary, located 800 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora.
The LPA is not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours, he said, and added that the rainy weather would also possibly continue until the weekend.

A separate report from Panahon.TV said the storm was moving away from the country and had little effect on the prevailing monsoon.
