The state weather bureau on Thursday afternoon said monsoon rains will continue to affect the National Capital Region and neighboring provinces.
In its 1:00 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said light to moderate rains will persist over Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Quezon, and Zambales over the next two to three hours due to the southwest monsoon (habagat).
Pagasa also raised the yellow rainfall warning over Batangas, where flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
Pagasa advised the public and the disaster risk reduction and management council to take appropriate actions and monitor the next weather updates. YG/RAM/rga
