Drug suspect found dead in Rizal, another killed in Batangas

SAN PEDRO CITY — A man tagged as an illegal drug pusher was found dead in Batangas, while another drug suspect was killed by policemen in Rizal.

An emailed report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police on Thursday said the body of a still unidentified man was found at 9 p.m. on Wednesday along the road in Barangay San Fernando, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the chest. The police also found a placard that read “Pusher ako, ‘wag tuluran (I am a pusher, do not follow my example)” next to the body.

In Rizal, a drug suspect identified only as alias “Bonbon” was killed in a buy-bust operation in Morong.

The report said the suspect shot at policemen during a police operation at around 6 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay San Guillermo. The policemen fired back, killing the suspect.

Recovered in the area were a .38 caliber gun, seven sachets of suspected “shabu,” and the suspect’s black motorcycle. JE/rga
