MANILA — An alleged drug pusher was killed while four others were arrested in Parañaque City when police raided the victim’s house after a concerned citizen reported an ongoing “pot session” inside the suspect’s house on Tuesday evening.

Supt. Jenny Tecson, spokesperson of the Southern Police District’s public information office (SPD-PIO), said on Wednesday, that Allan Cipriaso, 34, was shot dead at around 8 p.m. when he allegedly fired at police officers who tried to arrest him at his home on Dandan Street in Barangay La Huerta.

The police arrived at Cipriaso’s house after a neighbor called authorities to report a group of men who were using drugs.

Tecson said that the victim tried to run from police, led by Chief Insp. Arnold Acosta, when he saw them approaching his house. However, upon reaching J. de Leon Street, which ran parallel to Dandan, Cipriaso allegedly drew a 9mm pistol and shot at the officers several times, prompting them to retaliate, she said.
