The Quezon City Police Department (QCPD) has ordered the relief of 88 anti-illegal drug cops while it is investigating the involvement of an officer who was killed in a shootout with his fellow officers on Tuesday.

Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, acting chief of the QCPD, said 35 members of the District Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Tasked Group (DAID-SOTG) and 53 members of the anti-narcotics unit of the Batasan Police have been removed from their post.
“I believe they have to be relieved. They will be investigated. We also need to have new blood in our ranks,” Eleazar said in a phone interview with INQUIRER.net on Wednesday.
Eleazar said all 88 policemen will be transferred to the District Headquarters Support Unit (DHSU) in Camp Karingal, Quezon City.
The QCPD chief also appointed the new chief of its anti-illegal drugs division Supt. Godfredo Kinhude Tul-O. TVJ
